As you are aware the coronavirus pandemic continues to cause considerable disruption to the healthcare supply chain. Here is an update on what is happening from our viewpoint as a medical products wholesaler.
In the past several weeks there have been notable changes in the drug/device supply chain. As you have heard on national media masks are still in very short supply. However, we see a recovery in gloves.
For the first time in forty-one years the McGuff Company suspended accepting returns. We are concerned for our employees handling products that might have become contaminated and want to assure the safety of our customers.
To improve upon the safety of our customers we are transitioning to 100 percent paperless invoicing. This means that we will be emailing invoices to all customers rather than attaching printed invoices to packages. This method of invoicing is not only fast and efficient but also adds an additional level of safety for you. If you would like to change or verify your email address, please send the account number and change you would like to make to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Demand for our products has increased dramatically and we are doing everything we can to meet our goal of shipping every order every day but we have been overwhelmed. We now find ourselves in the difficult position of not guaranteeing shipping dates. Of course this is a temporary condition. We are working hard to get back to normal as soon as possible.
A few IV solutions are being allocated based upon the manufacturer’s allocation to us. Currently, we are receiving sixty to seventy percent of our purchase requirements on the following IV Solutions:
We are allocating the IV solutions above to our customers as our manufacturers will not indicate to us when their allocation will end.

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak worldwide, the global demand for some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is exceeding current supply availability.
In addition, the manufacturing of the PPE and many other wound care/infection prevention products have been impacted by the global response to the Coronavirus. While you may see product availability reduction in the near-term, please be assured that we at McGuff Medical are continuing to work diligently to ensure an uninterrupted supply of products and alternative products to you.
Additionally, in order to ensure healthcare providers have access to the PPEs they need, the McGuff Company is temporarily limiting PPEs to healthcare providers.
