The McGuff Company is currently looking for an IT Tech to join our team. This position will assist the team in developing and maintaining our four corporate companies with product software, physical equipment, and servers.
Provide support for the following systems (installation, upgrades, troubleshooting):
We are looking for a person who is willing and eager to learn, expand their knowledge, and grow with the company. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability desired.
Experience required with modern Microsoft Windows desktops including Windows 7, 8, and Windows 10
Active Directory and Windows Server product experience desired
Ability to learn/knowledge of Laptop/Printer Hardware Ability to fix common printer issues, configure printers and laptops and their common peripherals
Networking skills a plus – TCP/IP, create RJ45 cable, neat cable management/routing
Ability to troubleshoot and solve PC/Network problems quickly and accurately
Excellent communication, telephone support, and interpersonal skills required with a customer service focus
Entry level position, all relevant experience considered, some PC support experience required but this can be in an educational or informal setting
BA/BS MIS, CIS, or related technical discipline desired
Greater than one year experience in Help desk support or educational degree
Strong troubleshooting and technical skills
Good communications skills
Microsoft Windows Operating Systems: server and desktop
Immediate opening, full time, 8am to 5pm (semi-flexible hours) Office location just South of the Harbor/MacArthur intersection near the 405 freeway. Business-casual work environment Office hours, Monday - Friday 7:00am to 5:30pm
